Project Coordinator

About Emissary

Emissary is transforming how sales and marketing teams gather intelligence about their target accounts and most important deals. We have built an advisory network that connects sales and marketing teams with former executives of their top prospects and accounts. These Emissaries act as a personal deal coach, providing account-based intelligence at each phase of the sales journey. The result? Sellers and marketing professionals truly know their buyer…and close more deals, faster.

Recently named as one of Forbes’ Top 100 Start-Ups to work for, Emissary is the world’s first knowledge network for enterprise revenue teams.

About the role

The Emissary Insight Library is a repository of intelligence assets developed by writers using insights collected from Emissary advisors. The Project Coordinator reports to the Research Analyst and is responsible for shepherding the creation of these assets from source file collection through design and development and ultimately production and maintenance.

The project coordinator will also, as needed, manage special projects for the organization ーapplying their organizational and project management skills to help one-off initiatives succeed.  As an example, Emissary has an annual Client Advisory Board meeting and the Project Coordinator helps to manage the setup and execution of that event.

This is a fully remote position.

Job responsibilities:

For asset creation:

  • Collect and deliver source material (survey files and transcripts) to freelancers.
  • Ensure efficient flow of assets throughout the production process (E.g. writer to reviewer to editor to graphic designer)
  • Post final deliverables to Emissary Insight Library and archive source documents for future reference.
  • Work with accounting to pay freelancers for completed work and advisors for research contributions.
  • Maintain asset log to track each asset throughout the milestones in the development process.
  • Function as point of contact for vendors and freelancer questions

For special projects, such as one-off events:

  • Create a project plan specific to the initiative
  • Assign tasks to internal and external resources
  • Coordinate logistics and deliverables (materials, facilities, invitations etc.)
  • Track completion and communicate status.
  • Work with accounting to pay vendors and freelancers
  • Meet budget and timeline goals

Who you are

    • Organized with high attention to detail. These projects have large numbers of moving parts. It’s critical to know the status of each task and anticipate (and mitigate) potential derailers.
    • Responsive. When something lands on your plate, everyone knows that you’ll get it done. You follow through without reminder.
    • Excellent multi-tasker. Emissary is a start-up and everyone works across the organization on a range of simultaneous projects. Success requires keeping multiple balls in the air at all times.
    • Strong communicator, both internally and externally.  All stakeholders need to clearly understand what they have to do, when they have to do it and what the benefit will be.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 1-2 years professional work experience in a corporate setting.

Working at Emissary

Emissary is a thriving start up and those who succeed here are people who get excited about a fast-moving environment and collegial culture.  Our values and guiding principles are to:

Find a better way.  We’re never satisfied with the status quo.
Since we are building something new, for which there is no proven path, we must innovate to improve and evolve.

Test and learn. We act on our ideas.  And we learn from the data, feedback and insights that result. We don’t get discouraged by setbacks and we aren’t afraid to fail forward.

Elevate others.  Emissary’s people (employees and advisors) are enablers.  We lift others up.  We are generous with our time and expertise. We succeed when our clients find a better way (…to get into accounts, to accelerate deals, to expand relationships).

Embrace differences.  We are a human intelligence network of truly fascinating people, with diverse backgrounds and unique expertise.  We seek out varied perspectives and ideas.

Enjoy the climb!  Launching, growing and scaling a disruptive business isn’t easy.  But it’s tremendously fun.  We relish experiences that few get to enjoy.
